Transfiguration Sunday
Vicar Emmy, who is a seminary student training to become a pastor, gave the message this Transfiguration Sunday. In the gospel we find Jesus on the mountain top with Peter, James, and John as they witness the transfiguration of Jesus and his conversation with the long gone prophets, Moses and Elijah. Emmy points to the people in our lives (including Mr. Rogers!) who have guided our faith and lead us back to the gospel. In the end we do not carry the weight of spreading the gospel by ourselves.
