Guest Preacher: Liz Roderick
January 26, 2019 (Mission Awareness Sunday)
In 2018 and 2019, our congregation supported Liz Roderick when she served as a Young Adult in Global Mission (YAGM) through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She served in Argentina for an entire year, daily speaking Spanish as she worked with Lutheran churches in the Obera region.
She was invited to speak at our Mission Awareness Sunday by the Women of the ELCA (WELCA) of St. Paul.
In her message, she not only speaks about her time in Argentina, but more broadly, she speaks about God’s call to mission. She reminds us that even though we may face great challenges, “You are enough” through the love of God and the community surrounding you.
